Subject:Dulcenia Davidson!!!
Some things are kinda "foggy" for my Dad,
but I'll do the best I can. Also, I'm gonna call my aunt in KY, and
see if she can give me more details about Dulcina and what kind of
person she was. Does your Great Grandma remember much? I'll begin with
the earliest Davidson's I've found so far and hope this is the correct
information. There was several Daniels, so it gets a little confusing.
I even understand that the very first settlers was named Daniel and
Hyde Davidson, but I havn't found any info on them yet.
DANIEL DAVIDSON (no spouse name or dates)
Gave birth to SAMUEL DAVIDSON (no dates or places)
SAMUEL DAVIDSON married to ELIZABETH CALLAHAN (no dates or places)
(Elizabeth parents: EDWARD CALLAHAN & MAHALA BROCK)
Gave birth to DANIEL DAVIDSON: Born: 1823 in N. Carolina
Died: 12/24/1896
Burried: Grapevine Creek, Perry Co., KY
Married to SARAH JANE DUFF (Married Oct. 25,1840)
No birth or death records
(Sarah's parents: JOHN DUFF & MARY COMBS)

DANIEL (married to LETTIE DUFF/DORRENE HENSLEY)
DULCINA CRAWFORD (married to LORENZO DOW CRAWFORD)

of
others)
HENRY: Born 1866

Married to FRANCIS GILBERT: Born 1899
Died: Dec. 31st, 1955
Burried: Perry Co., KY
Children: DANIEL; DORA BELL CAMPBELL; ELIZA BREWER;
HENRY
(Henry is my father)
(This would make Dulcina my Great Aunt; your Great
Grandmother is my Father's 1st cousin; making you
and
me 4th cousins!)
I had at first told you that my Aunt Ada was Dulcina's daughter. Come
to find out she was actually her niece. She was the daughter of one of
the boys. However, she still married my Dad's brother, still making
them cousins! Another interesting tid-bit: My Grandfather, Henry,
ended up getting married to Lorenzo's sister! I don't know her name.
Maybe your Great Grandma would know her name. I'm gonna find out how
that all worked!
Well, Justin, I hope this wasn't just all too confusing and hope it
helped some. My Dad has a picture of Dulcina's brother, Henry (his
Dad.) I will try to send that picture to you over the weekend. I
really hope to hear from you soon. I'd love to get to know you and
maybe we can help each other out. Have you been into Genealogy for
long? I could use any tips you might have. I'm trying to do this
without spending any money, just now. Take care of yourself!
